About us

Our history

Lif Exhibition was established in 1962 as the MEDIF/MEFA Exhibition Committee. The main purpose was to benefit promoters and exhibitors, and to ensure them the best possible conditions in connection with meetings, symposia, congresses and the like, arranged by or for the pharmaceutical industry in Denmark.

For each event, the Committee appointed a project manager to negotiate costs and event venue, time for exhibition visits during the scientific programme, and the opportunity for exhibitors to participate in the professional and social programmes.

The project manager had many duties. First of all, he had to provide an exhibition layout, including booth sketches, and allocate booths by lot. Further, the project manager assisted during the booth construction to ensure that all booths were set up at the agreed time, that the opening hours and coffee breaks were complied with, and that the booth dismantling did not take place until after the exhibition was closed.

The members of the Exhibition Committee took turns to perform this task free of charge, as MEFA established a secretariat to take care of the day-to-day administration.

Exhibition activities increased during the 1980s and consequently, a project manager was permanently employed in 1990.

Vision and values

The vision of Lif Exhibition is to promote the industry’s visibility within the fields of healthcare and medical technology. Lif Exhibition organizes exhibitions in connection with national and international meetings, symposia, congresses, and the like for professionals in the healthcare sector.

Lif Exhibition wishes to promote logistics, consultancy and networking, and to ensure a professional event on the best possible conditions for promoters as well as exhibitors. Lif Exhibition negotiates and reaches agreements with promoters on financial and practical terms for the participation of exhibitors.

Services

Lif Exhibition provides assistance and participates in the planning of major events, including commercial exhibitions.

Lif Exhibition updates a catalogue of approx. 300 companies interested in exhibitions on an ongoing basis. Whenever Lif Exhibition reaches an agreement on a new exhibition, invitations are sent out to the companies in the catalogue.

What we offer

• to handle all communication with exhibition venues
• to register companies and provide exhibition layouts/booth sketches
• to ensure that all exhibition facilities are ready and marked off according to   layout and sketches
• to collect booth rent from exhibitors and settle accounts with promoters
• to make sure that booth visits are entered into the scientific programme
• to encourage promoters to initiate active dialogue with exhibitors in order to further develop the collaboration between manufacturers/importers and healthcare professionals

Lif Exhibition collaborates on an ongoing basis with other sector organizations such as Medicoindustrien and The Danish Association of Diagnostic and Laboratory Equipment (DADIF).

Lif Exhibition organizes 25-30 exhibitions each year with 10-40 exhibitors participating in each exhibition. In short, Lif Exhibition allocates approx. 600 booths each year.
